NOTD: Nail Decals

I bought these Nail Decals from E-bay as I fancied something different for my nails and I thought these were eye catching & who can complain for 99p! They arrived quickly in a white envelope and you get a small business card sized sheet with 20 decals and an instruction sheet.

They're pretty simple to use; paint your nail the desired colour, soak in water, press to the nail, carefully remove and then use a topcoat. A simple and effective way of having intricate designs on your nails.

The white base polish is a Poundland purchase and the name has worn off the bottle!  Nothing special.
Glitter Polish - American Apparel Galaxy

The only issue with these decals are some of them are quite big! I think these would be too much for one on every finger and the 2 smallest size just fit on my fingers, and I wouldn't say that I had too short nails! However for 99p they would fit onto your thumb or onto a fake nail if you're nails aren't mega long.

There are loads of different designs on E-bay, are you a fan of decals?

Relaxing...

So just having finishing an undergraduate degree and working part time (more like full-time) in a bar, life sometimes get a little bit stressful. I think I've learnt how to take some time out and de-stress. Personally I think it's really important to take time out and relax yourself.

So, first and foremost I love having a long hot bath, some kind of bath bomb (usually from Lush, but recently I've been loving Yorkshire Soap Company - Bath Truffles), light a few candles and a bath playlist. Some of my favourites from this week are;

  • Benjamin Francis Leftwich - Atlas Hands
  • Charlie Simpson - Down Down Down
  • Coldplay - Yellow
  • David Gray - Sail Away
  • Johnny Nash - I Can See Clearly Now
Go have a cheeky listen if you fancy seeing what I like to listen to when I'm in the bath!

Another thing which I religiously use to relax is my Foot Spa, I got given the Cosmopolitan Foot Spa for my birthday and I'm not ashamed to say the other night I spent the night with a face mask, glass of wine, Crazy Stupid love with my feet bubbling away. From working 10 hour shifts in a bar to 8 hours running around with 6 year olds, looking after my feet at the end of the day is a wonderful treat.

I also LOVE watching films and rubbish t.v (Guilty as charged), as I type this I am watching the Celebrity Big Brother entrance show. Netflix is definitely one of my best friends and there is nothing more cosy and relaxing than sitting down and forgetting the world watching something on the sofa or at the cinema.

There are the main things which I do to relax on an evening, but I also find painting my nails or baking relaxing however baking isn't necessarily a quick evening activity. Weirdly, I also find cleaning and tidying quite therapeutic (mess just stresses me right out!).

What do you do to relax?

Graze Box

So I finally gave in and ordered a free Graze Box.
With trying to watch what I eat its easy to fall down when I fancy a snack, so having fairly low fat snacks on hand already prepared could only be a good thing.

I'm sure every blogger and her mum has seen graze boxes now so I'm not going to bang on and on about them as lets face it, nobody wants to hear it, so I'll show you the snacks and the pretty summer box.

Honeycomb Flapjack
Cheddar Gorge
Jaffa Cake
Herby Bread Basket

So far I tried the Cheddar Gorge and at 139 calories it fits into my 'MyFitnessPal' calorie allowance for a snack and it left like I had a treat. I'm saving the jaffa cake one for when I have a chocolate craving.

If you want to try a free box then feel free to use the code

Hopefully Graze will stop me snacking, and for the price its no more than I would spend on low fat crisps or something similar for the week.

Have you tried graze boxes before, what do you think?

*I purchased this box myself & I was not asked to write this post.

Hello!

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Welcome to my little corner of the internet.
After dipping my toe into the blog world for a while I have finally decided to take the plunge and hopefully regularly write and update my blog.

I'm Laura, 21 and just finished a degree in English Literature and Language.
As you have probably guessed by my blog name I live by the sea in the North East of England! A part of the world which I love.
All goes well with my final tests, I am starting a Primary Education School Direct PGCE in September to I will be training towards being a Primary Teacher.

My plans for this blog are to chronicle my life as a trainee teacher as well as my journey to loose 3 stone. Yes, 3 whole stone. University among other things has lead me to a fairly substantial weight gain  which I want to put right!
As well as the above I plan to write about a whole host of other things which interest me.
In time I'll update with twitter/instagram links.
